This interactive workshop will help participants build an understanding and framework of mixed methods research (MMR) for their own program of research. There are two workshops, and you can attend either or both. However, to get the most out of the session, we recommend you attend both.
Who should attend this event? This session is tailored to faculty members in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Note: Registration is capped at 24 participants. Please choose either or both dates when registering.
Workshop 1: Critical Appraisal of MMR Studies
Monday, May 12
1-4pm
- Define MMR and explain when to use it
- Differentiate MMR from other study types (e.g. Multimethods)
- Evaluate MMR studies for evidence of integration
Workshop 2: Planning an MMR Study
Wednesday, May 14
9am-12pm
- List the key steps in mapping an MMR Study
- Develop a MMR research question
- Create a design diagram
- Develop an integration matrix
