Power of International Collaboration in Simulation and Medical Education
"Think Big, Start Small, Always Collaborate"

Dr. Yusuke Watanabe

Simulations should be enjoyable and attractive to use, and have an element of challenge. Through qualitative methods including field observations and interviews, and various quantitative methods, we have tried to develop such surgical simulations through local and international collaborations. These work could not have been done without 360-degree collaborations, including with colleagues, trainees, surgeons, scientists, medical and academic societies, and manufacturers. These collaborative work have allowed us to create new ideas and find solutions to overcome challenges. This presentation highlights the power of international collaboration in simulation and medical education.
